If you guys dont know Edward Burtynsky, then you have some serious googling to do… Anyways, he is a great photographer. I first saw his stuff when I watched his documentary/art film titled “Manufactured Landscapes” (A MUST SEE!!!) Amazing photographic movie, a real art piece in which Burtynsky explores the influence of man in creating new artificial, or “manufactured, landscapes… I believe the focus of his body of work has been placed in finding those instances where man changes the natural progression of things. He captures this human interruption with great elegance and detail. And even though he has nothing against “progress” or world exploitation, his photographs sure make you think twice about our human impact.
